What is the rental process?

To check date availability, simply select a rental period on our website. The price listed is for a one-day rental. Rental reservation includes delivery one day prior to the event and pick up the day after the event. Please contact us directly for extended rental pricing. We encourage you to place rental reservations as soon as possible because dates book up fast.


Is delivery included? 

Take A Seat will provide delivery of your rental items in an enclosed trailer. Unless needed for another event, the trailer will be left onsite with your rental items. Please make sure there is a safe and accessible place to keep the trailer during your rental period. You will be responsible for the trailer and all rental items while it is in your possession, so please make sure it is safe from theft or inclement weather. There is a delivery and fuel surcharge for all orders.  Any deliveries that are more than 30 miles from Fort Wayne, will have an extra delivery and fuel surcharge added. We understand that event planning can sometimes be time sensitive. We are able to provide specific delivery or pick-up times for an added charge.  In the event that Take A Seat personnel are not given timely access to drop off or pick up of the rental items, a delayed pick-up fee may be charged. Take A Seat personnel are not responsible for set up or tear down of the rental equipment.  All items will need to be stored back in the trailer as they were received. 


When is payment due? 

Rental fees are due in full when items are reserved. A credit card is required for all rental item reservations.  A full refund will be paid if your order is cancelled more than one week from the rental date.  A refund of one half of the total fees will be paid if your order is cancelled within two to six days prior to the rental date.  No refund will be given if cancelled less than 48 hours from the rental date. 


Can I make changes to my order?

You can make adjustments to your reservation up to two weeks prior to your event. We will require a final reservation count at the two-week mark. If additional chairs are needed less than two weeks prior to your event, and we are able to accommodate, a $50 “scramble” fee will be added along with the additional cost of the chairs. Any adjustments to the original reservation invoice will be refunded or deducted from the credit card on file. Unfortunately, we are not able to apply refunds for any count reductions made less than 2 weeks prior to your event.  


What if an item is damaged while in my possession?

You will be asked to complete a rental inspection upon delivery. This ensures you have received the appropriate items, and that they meet your satisfaction. If there are any discrepancies or damaged items upon initial delivery, please list these on your rental inspection form and we will refund you the rental cost for these items. Remember that security of all the rental equipment, including the trailer, is your responsibility during the rental period. This includes incidents of theft, weather-related damage, or accidental damage. You will have the option to purchase our Equipment Protection Plan, which would cover the cost of most incidents. If you choose not to purchase the protection plan, any damage would be charged at full replacement cost.
